Fishing
Finding a Honey Hole (Part 1)
I started off with my usual rig, but soon decided to try the ultralight with a float as well. I wasn't getting any interest, so I started to try other spots of the pond. Like I always say, "In order to catch fish, you have to go where the fish are." I found the fish in a nice little honey hole and turned a slow day into a great one.
Finding the Fish (Part 2)
Once you find the fish, things get easier. All it comes down to now is finding the best bait for their appetites. Changing things up runs some risk of finding something they are not interested in, but it could also mean doubling or tripling your catch rate.
Finding the Fish (Part 1)
Started out at a different stocked pond and only managed to catch someone else's snagged line. Moved back to my regular stocked pond and found the fish.
Fishing in a Snowstorm
Went to bare necessities on this trip. I had limited time again, and it was snowing pretty hard. I grabbed just what I needed and got after it. Despite the weather, the fishing turned out okay. The best part was, since the weather was bad, no one else was willing to be out at the pond. This low stress environment makes for better fishing.
Location, Location, Location
I didn't have much time, so I was hoping for some good action as the sun was setting. I wasn't disappointed. It was a little slow, but, despite the cold, the bite was coming, and I was able to get a few to shore before the time ran out.
