Strange Behavior & Changing Plans (Part 1)

Location: Stocked Pond

Bait: Powerbait Wigglers & Diesel Bait Eggs vs. Rapala Original

Rig: Weighted Float with Trout Magnet Jighead vs. Rapala Original

I have not seen this behavior from the trout in this pond. More than a dozen hovering together right along the shoreline. It was looking like spawning behavior. What do you all think?

Seeing the behavior I went with what I had ready to go, which was the wiggler with diesel bait egg with a weighted float. I foul-hooked the first two fish who seemed to go more for the float than the bait. A few more hooksets and I switch over to the Rapala Original.

There is some kind of curse with that Rapala. Every time I use it I catch one fish right away, then I can't seem to get another fish and have to switch to something else. Today was no different.
