Tenkara for Native Red Band Trout

*Got the aspect ratio back to my preferred ratio. Hope everyone likes it.

Location: Waterfall pool in Idaho

Bait: Wet fly

Rig: Tenkara

I'm at a new location, this time with a completely different rig. I give Tenkara Fishing a try for the first time ever. Tenkara is the ancient Japanese fishing technique used for creek and river fishing. It is like fly-fishing except for having no reel. Tenkara uses a rod, often a much longer rod than other fishing techniques, and a line with a fly. How does it do in this pool at the base of a waterfall, which is home to Idaho native redband trout? Watch and see.

Let me know what you think of the Tenkara style in the comments.
